Now is the time to make those Golden Years Shine! The Heritage Class is designed to dig deeper into the Word of God for the lifelong learner. Your Christian testimony will shine as an example for those younger seeking wisdom and understand through life’s journey. Regularly scheduled activities including dinning out, golf fellowship, day trips, and senior retreats will help to develop and maintain friendships and companionship. Your time will not be wasted as you continue to grow Spiritually, serve as a testimony for others, and find your place to belong at Somerville Baptist Church.
Journey’s Class
40 – 50 years old
Mark 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
The Journeys class at Somerville Baptist is designed to surround those 40 -50 years old with friends experiencing similar life journeys. Those finding themselves with an empty nest or soon to be will be challenged to continue growing in and through Faith. Strong emphasis on bible study and personal devotions will keep you focused in your daily walk with God. Class activities are scheduled for your enjoyment, networking, and building friendships. Friendly faces are ready to join you on you next journey of life.
Family Focus
30-40 years old
Psa 18:2&3 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
From Tweens to Teens parenting can be a challenge. The Family Focus class is design to provide a support group for parents and couples raising teens. You will learn from God’s Word guidelines that will help you develop biblical habits benefitting your family. You will experience a prayer support group, discussion on contemporary issues, and spiritual conversation with other adults. Activities are planned to compliment your schedule, provide moments of refreshment, and reinforce friendships.
Home Builders

Psalm 78:6&7 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.
Newlyweds or those married with children will find encouragement and spiritual direction in the Home Builders class. This class is designed to strengthen marriages, build family unity, and provide the support needed to survive life. Become more grounded in your faith through in-depth bible study, group discussion, and prayer teams. Activities are scheduled for friendship building and to give you time away for the madness of the routine. Date night is the highlight as childcare is provided for a couple’s night out. Take time to grow through God’s word and lay a strong foundation for future generations in your family.
Pathfinders

In depth bible study, class discussion, and prayer time will prepare your heart and mind for a closer walk with God. Activities will compliment your schedule with fellowship as you develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Opportunities are available for you to continue serving God with whatever spiritual gift He has blessed you with. You will be encouraged as hearts are knitted together through the love of Christ. |
